RMA Presentation at the Integrated Modeling for Adaptive Management of Estuarine Systems Workshop

March 21-22, 2015 — UC Davis Campus

The National Science Foundation in coordination with the Delta Stewardship Council and UC Davis Center for Watershed Sciences sponsored the Integrated Modeling Workshop to explore ways to improve development and application of modeling for multipurpose management of estuarine systems, with emphasis on the San Francisco Bay and Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. At the workshop John DeGeorge demonstrated the DWR Delta-Emergency Response Tool (ERT) and USACE Corps Water Management System Control and Visualization Interface (CWMS-CAVI), two software applications developed by RMA. The Delta-ERT, developed for the California Department of Water Resources, provides rapid evaluation of potential impacts of levee failure events in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. The US Army Corps of Engineers CWMS-CAVI facilitates integrated modeling for real-time water control operations including rainfall runoff, reservoir operations, river hydraulics, and flood consequence components.
